Next stop was close to Campbell River, at the ferry dock, where Mike knew there were some purple star fishes. I have never seen anything like that. They are big, purple and are attached to the rocks, just like in the cartoons.
We got to Victoria at 7pm and Nick, our friend, was waiting for us. Nick was my former roommate and mike is eternally grateful that he introduced us. Mike says: “I owe you beer for the rest of you life”. I wouldn’t say the same…ahahahhaha…just kidding! Well, Nick has been living in Victoria for 5 years and loves it there. We also met his girlfriend Martha and friends Marie, Ben and Katty. Great people! He hanged out around the kitchen table catching up and, of course, drinking beer.
Later we went for dinner in a Jamaican restaurant (http://www.thereefrestaurant.com/) and I had a delicious salmon jerk. We ended up in Nick’s style, at a pub downtown Victoria.
